Artistic endeavours have been an encompassing passion for almost all of ‘Team Sinerjetik’. More than just performing for the sake of performances, or for personal glory, our team believed in trying to impart our art, skill and talent to all those who may be equally passionate, but lack a platform or an opportunity. Thus two different platforms were institutionalised. One a pure western classical Ballet school called ‘Onpointe’, and the other a classical bharatanatyam school called ‘Samyukta’.

Samyukta’ (meaning union ) – is a Gurukul (staying and learning with the guru) based academy which aims to create and pursue excellence in dance, It is nestled in a most enchanting natural setting by a lake. Please visit – www.samyukta.org

‘Samyukta’ derives inspiration from Kalakshetra, and strives to incorporate all the features of it’s Gurukul system, trying hard to unite the key aspects of old traditions of training while building on the technological advancements of the modern evolving world. Students are taught besides dance; music, language, and dance theory, and while residing in the institution, be fully immersed in it’s culture.

Samyukta created a unique educational platform where the dancer can pursue full time dance as well as continue formal school or college academics, without losing out on vital certifications
‘Samyukta’s’ goal is to develop such dancer’s skills to their highest potential, inspiring and transforming passionate students into versatile artistes with a holistic, global perspective of classical dance, laced with an Indian narrative, and it’s essentially human environment. ‘Samyukta’ seeks to combine artistic expression and solid classical dance technique with physical discipline, in this unique format, to develop a mastery of fundamental and advanced movements, to create poetry in motion.

Our Heritage and Lineage

Samyukta traces it’s lineage to the great ‘Kalakshetra’, the world’s most famous ‘Gurukul’ centre for India’s classical dance ‘Bharatanatyam’. Samyukta’s derives its strength from it’s founder, mentor and guru Smt. Jeethy, whose own guru Smt. Anjali Merh was among the earliest students of Kalakshetra’s founder Smt. Rukmini Devi Arundale, incidentally travelled all the way to M.S University Baroda to be present at Smt. Jeethy’s arangetram.

Residential students can seek and may be permitted to receive cross training in classical western ballet techniques, through our associate Ballet school ‘On Pointe’.

Welcome to our Ballet School

‘On Pointe’ is Kerala’s and Trivandrum’s first real Ballet School.
‘On Pointe’ means standing on the tips of your toes. Doing so is a miracle, and ‘On Pointe’ celebrates the magic that creates it. Our School fuses multiple styles of ballet training to create a curriculum that is uniquely ours. Our School also offers programs in western contemporary dances, and conditioning classes laced with yoga for adults.

On Pointe revolves around it’s principal dancer and founder-Khushi. Trained from RAD (Royal academy of dance), she also brings the Cecchetti style; a more direct offshoot of the original Russian ballet school; into her lines and movements, to dance on ‘Pointe’.

The school takes careful steps to minimize dance related injuries while maximizing strength, endurance and flexibility. A well rounded curriculum has been designed, appropriate to the age, maturity and dance expertise of each student. The programs are knit around an Indian flavour, with a conscious effort to create a new narrative. Here is an opportunity to master classical dance movements in it’s entirety.
