Origins

Sinerjetik which started life as Antares in the mid eighties was a technology consulting firm, providing corporate planning services to India’s leading automotive instrument manufacturer.
The firm eventually went on to provide cutting edge consultancy in marine technology. Some of the specialisations are listed below separately.

After providing specialized command services to India’s national shipping line, the giant “Shipping Corporation of India (SCI)”, and Singapore’s national sealine, the company was commissioned by the global oilfield services giant “Schlumberger”, to provide state of the art and mission critical consultancy service to their oilfield drilling division “Sedco Forex”. In undertaking this highly risky and innovative life enhancement project, which lasted two years, with technical audit by the “American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)”, Antares executed the single largest project of its kind in the world.

Refurbishing and undertaking dry dock lay up repairs for ships and rigs has been seen from shipyards in France, Portugal, Singapore, Japan, Bahrain, UAE, Egypt and India.

As a Functional Director on the board of an Electronics equipment manufacturing public sector company in the field of defence, aerospace and power,  Rajeev Nair worked in many cutting edge new projects, like drones, passive sonars, missile and rocket sub assemblies, torpedoes, marine mines, solar grid interactive inverters, and power stabilising equipment.

Provided specialised consultancy work, in the Gulf of Suez-Egypt in refurbishing and bringing to Operations with British Petroleum – Jackup oil drilling rigs, after carrying out specialised repairs to heavy steel legs of the rig.

Specialised services were offered to commission new Cyber Jack up rigs at Lamprell Shipyard in UAE, performing sea trials and towing the rig to India for operations.

Engineered renewable energy solutions ( Biomass gasifiers upto 500 KW). Engineered Joint ventures with MNC’s and Defence equipment players.

Developed (RFID) systems, Smart card readers . Micro-controller solutions, IT solutions.

Developed new products, and business relationships across domains in Defence, Aerospace, Power electronics, Transport systems, Ports-Infrastructure, E-governance, Instrumentation and IT.

Transformed the business revenues of a Fortune 500 Oil and Gas exploration giant, by volunteering a truly inspirational world record breaking life enhancement and structural rebuilding project of 24 months, on a hazardous working drilling jack-up rig on the high seas, saving revenues of millions of dollars.

Integrated several small unstructured ancillary business units into the parent company after major restructuring, creating India’s largest automotive instrument manufacturer. Knit together the loosely structured 4000 strong workforce spread over 3 plants in three states, into a cohesive and performing human resource, with completely new HR functions.

Incubated a start-up ship owning company, setting up all key operational systems. Negotiated, inspected and purchased all major floating assets, and successfully tramped and operated them in global cross trades, earning valuable revenue in a highly competitive, severe recession crippled market.

Operated different generic kinds of modern sophisticated ships; Supertankers, Bulk-Ore/Grain carriers, Container, Break bulk, Heavy-lift, multi-propeller – azimuth thrusting jack-up rigs and service platforms, and deep sea oil drilling rigs, carrying cargo to all major ports through every sea and ocean in the world.

The captain has the distinction of holding qualifications in both the technical and commercial branches of the shipping industry. Fellow, Life Member and Gold Medalist of N.MIS (controlled by the Govt. of India), besides holding a UN (IMO) certified licence as Captain for unlimited, unrestricted ocean going ships.
